there was the healthcare ruling and the reactions from the left and the right. immigration decision which affirmed federal authority but also left open the possibility of state-sponsored racial profiling in arizona. there was the courts refusal to reconsider that poisonous citizens united case. congress's passage of the transportation bill. student loan rate extension. the contemptible contempt vote on eric holder and the ads the bus trips the political wrangling all over the place. there was really something for everyone from political junkies and avid court watchers to middle class workers and immigrants. what i think was most interesting about this stretch politically was that there were both victories and setbacks for each side of the aisle. people on the left were alternatively satisfied or angry, relieved, enraged, same thing with those on the right. in a way isn't that how it should be. aren't we supposed to be engaged and enthralled by this political process? isn't washington supposed to do things whether we agree with them or not? in the last few weeks
